We use a bunch of ketchup - LOTS.
My kids like it, I like it, the husband likes it.
So I buy the big 64 oz bottles.
After we emptied yet another one, I got to thinking
'hey, I could use this for something'.
I turned it upside down (you know..to get a 'feeling' for it - lol)...
DING! Frankenstein!!!
I don't have a picture of the empty bottle but here it is spray painted green
(with 2 milk lids waiting to be painted)
*ignore the dead grass..we are getting sod :)
{while I have this picture of my Krylon spray paint..
I have to tell you that my Candy Corn Pine Cones made
the Top 10 at The CSI Project Painted Halloween!!
SO EXCITED!}
I used scrap vinyl for the hair, eye, nose & mouth. I covered the lids with aluminum foil and super glued them to the sides. I drew on 'scars'.
Here he is..testing out his surroundings.
not the best place...
Much better!
He finally found a home in a plant.
Kinda cute. A little spooky. Very cheap!

Cute! I love your posts....they tend to make me laugh! I didn't notice the dead grass until you told me LOL.
This is a super creative idea ;)
HA! He is adorable... uh.. I mean scary! lol I love that idea, so simple and a good way to recycle/reuse! :) Love it!
Cute! Great way to recycle!
Such a great idea! We go through a bunch of ketchup at our house too! I love the fun aluminum foil knobs:)
Stop it! Frank rocks! What a unique accent for your house! I love it!
Thanks everyone!! Who knew a ketchup bottle could be so cute/scary/fun :)
Seriously, you amaze me! I see an empty ketchup bottle and think, "I should recycle this. Oh well. Maybe next time." NEVER do I say, I think this would be a cute Frankenstein! You are too smart! Sooooo cute!
I need to send our big bottles to you! That turned out sooo cute!
You and your spraypaint kill me. This is such a great/hilarious projet. And I actually kind of liked "Frank" hiding in the bushes a bit!
Brilliant! I host a linky party on my blog www.thetshirtdiaries.com and would be honored if you would link this tutorial up!
Now I want to dig through the recycling bin and pull out the squarish shaped detergent bottle I put in there and make it into a Frankie!
