into the world of printables!
I have an obsession with printables - I can't get enough of them.
When they are free..oh man - I'm in heaven.
I am so So SO jealous of people who can whip up such cute collections.
That's what I want to do when I grow up!!!
Create fabulous collections and give them away
(not sure that's the best business plan but hey - that's my dream)!
I have no skills whatsoever when it comes to design.
Other than Microsoft Word - I'm a dummy with anything more sophisticated.

I will admit I've gotten pretty handy at making cuties with Word.
I use them pretty much for every party I have..
from invitations, bottle labels, toppers etc.

I even created a print for Halloween and Thanksgiving.
here's my Thanksgiving print (as seen on my mantle)

I decided to add to the 'collection' for Thanksgiving.
I thought it would be cute to remind everyone to 'gobble gobble' at Thanksgiving.
I thought it would be cute to remind everyone to 'gobble gobble' at Thanksgiving.
So I've added a few more prints
(of the 'keep calm' variety & toppers - which can be used for anything)
The prints were created as black and white 5x7 prints.
This way you can choose to print on any color paper.

Here are the toppers
designed to be cut with 2" punch.
I added a 3" background & lollipop stick
These would be cute in mashed potatoes, stuffing, pie..you get the idea.
and how perfect just sitting on everyone's plate?

And since Hanukkah is right around the corner (it starts December 1st) -
I've added 2 Hanukkah themed prints also.
These would so pretty on blue paper in a silver frame.

Keep Calm and Download On :)
'gobble on', 'stuff on', gobble toppers, 'latke on', 'spin on', 'gobble gobble'
if you hate them and think I should never, ever, ever attempt these again -
be honest!! (I can take it)

BUT if you think you would use one of these for something - please let me know!
You would make my whole week!
But wait..there's more (said in my best infomercial voice)
If there is specific "___ On" that you'd like to see with the turkey,
let me know & I'll make it for you (free, of course)
just email me -- jbandsam@gmail.com (subject: free print)
For example, my dad is a fan of fruit cake
(which I think is just plain gross - there, I said it)
so I may make one for him that says 'Keep Calm and Fruit Cake On'.
'Keep Calm and Cranberry On' 'Keep Calm and Yam On'....you get the idea!
and yes, I'll have Christmas ones too :)

FYI - You always make me smile!!! I just love your spirit!
ReplyDeleteThese are super super sweet! Idea - I love that ur turkeys are void of color, perfect for little one to color themselves & DIY cupcake toppers! How proud would they be to serve up "their" dessert on Thanksgiving!
Keep Calm and CRAFT ON superchick!

I am taking a design class at my local community college and I made sure to sign up for the class FIRST and then I was able to buy my software at a discount because I was a "student". Oh and I'm taking it online so I can go at my own pace and do it while the babes sleep : )
ReplyDeleteThese are too cute! We've made birthday invites before, but I've never made any other kind of printable. I do love all the free ones floating around the internet lately though!
ReplyDeletethese are sooo fun....i love them...especially for the holidays:) enjoy
ReplyDeletekeep on! just keep on! you have great ideas!! who cares about a business plan. just do what you love!!! lots of smiles, joanne
ReplyDeleteYou are sooo funny!! These are great ideas and giving them for free..who wouldn't LOVE it! You are one talented gal & anything you do I adore! Love your "food" toppers too!
ReplyDeleteThose toppers are adorable!!! I love what you have made. It comes from the heart and it shows :) That's all you need. Loving how you put the scrapbook paper behind it! No one has done that and it looks different. You know if you want more graphics, I have sent a lot of people to go to migrafico.com to buy cheap and cute graphics if they are in a crunch for time to make graphics. I think you can just place them in word and other non-complicated programs. You should really be proud of yourself--keep it up and in no time, you'll have a "Free Printables" section in your blog with tins of goodies. :) You know what would be cool---you could print that turkey print on brown craft paper (perfect for the season) and have kids color with bright color pencils (prisma colors are my fave) the contrast of the colors against the brown paper could look super cool!
ReplyDeleteSimply adorable--I love them!
ReplyDeleteThose are too cute! Love them! I love the Gobble On! Precious!
ReplyDeleteI laughed outloud at "keep calm and gobble on." HILARIOUS! And don't worry about the program in which you design (even if MS Word) as long as you love what you do. :)
ReplyDeleteAs a graphic designer by trade, I do use actual design software, but for what you're doing, I think MSW is PERFECT.
Keep calm and Yam on is my favorite. Although...I don't really care for eating yams. Lol
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute, Staci!! thanks for sharing.. I am now following you thanks to Wandering Wednesday and it would be so nice if you could share the love back on my blog:)
