Happy Labor Day..

I saw this great 15 sec tutorial at Dollar Store Crafts...on how to make an apothecary jar for $2.  I thought it was/is an awesome idea.
I will have to pick up some of those jars next time.
This trip, I decided I wanted to make some smaller serving dishes for Halloween
(great for little hands).

I went a little nutso...(the black buckets are for another project)

I already had Gorilla Glue so I got to work...
the 'stuff' in the vases are to add some weight..to help the GG hold.

After a few hours...I had these really cute serving dishes
that sorta look like giant wine glasses (bonus!)

this is my fave

I love that these can be used for any celebration...
and you guessed it, they all cost $8.00

Fabulous idea! At first, I saw the photo before reading the post and thought, "Hm. Wonder what's up with the baked beans in a glass?" Ha!

WOW! Talk about spooky! I just found the dollar store crafts site (and saw the same tutorial) and am in the process of making the same thing - and some cake/dessert stands.

Of course, I guess that our two GREAT minds think alike!! I'll hopefully be posting pics soon.
