SuperHero Swim Party

Our Superhero Swim party was this past Sunday.

I've shared lots of peeks during my party prep.
So now here is the party - I'm going to try and keep the pictures to a minimum :)

The Purple Pug always delivers glitterific goodies.
These door signs Kristy made for me were no exception!

The banners, garland and cupcake toppers were all from Peas & Thank You's.
Jill is a paper rock star!

painted wooden letters along with star shaped boxes ($1 from Joanns)
made an easy mantel decoration.

I wanted to keep the food easy.  We ordered pizzas - always a hit.
I made some star shaped whoopie pies (using this recipe).
They were DELISH!

everything else was store bought.
Rice Krispy treats are a fave of the lizard and ladybug.

Super Bubble gum and caped Blow Pops seemed to be a crowd pleaser too.

Since it was a swim party, the pool was the main attraction.
I made sure to have 2 fun sprinklers for the smaller kids
(or those needing a break from swimming).
I also had sponge balls - which all ended up in the pool and/or shredded :)

I found a few 'make your own mask' kits on clearance from Target.

I hung up this activity tablecover I found so the kids could draw.

Yes, those are star shaped crayons (made with an ice cube tray from Dollar Tree)

And last but not least, our 'building' of boxes.
The kids used their SUPER strength to knock it down.  Over and Over!

*this is when they were helping draw windows, which turned into the ladybug drawing monkeys.

Maria of Love & Sugar Kisses made these adorable cake toppers

They barely lasted long enough for me to get a few (not great) pictures..
but the kids said they tasted great :)

The cupcakes were from Publix.  Made SUPER with toppers from Peas and Thank You's.

and of course, the capes.
I knew I wanted to do one favor.  Just ONE!
So I had the idea to make capes that the kids could actually use.
Everyone seemed to really like them.
I gotta say, I'm pretty happy with how they turned out plus they make for great pictures :)
