I'm a HUGE fan of chalkboard anything!
And nothing says Back-to-School like chalkboard :)
I made these labels to add to hand sanitizer to give to the lizard & ladybug's teachers.
There are several places to buy chalkboard labels and chalkboard vinyl - I have both.
But sometimes it's nice to DIY (and save a little moola).
Here's an idea I tried a while back and I want to share it with all of you.
Here's what I used
Chalkboard spray paint
labels (Avery 8164 shipping labels)
Spray a few light coats over the entire sheet.
I suggest taping the labels to the surface where you're going to paint,
so they don't move while you're spraying.
While they are drying, I removed all the stickers/goo from the hand sanitizer.
*I chose the large hand sanitizer because..well, kids are germy :)
Once the labels are dry, simply peel and stick!
They still need a little message and cute ribbon but I think they turned out great!
The beauty of making your own chalkboard labels is they are very versatile.
Use a full sheet label and punches to create your own shapes/sizes.
Not to sound like a nut...but I usually keep a sheet of them on hand.
You never know when you'll need a chalkboard label in a hurry!!!
