Father's Day Fun ...at my house

I think my husband had a good Father's Day...he said he did :)
We had his grandparents and my mom over for a little early dessert.
I made a peanut butter trifle - it was a huge hit (there's plenty leftover if you'd like some)

We also had some fresh fruit for the 'healthy' :)

I decorated the table with my his favorite things...sports, electronics & gambling - he thought it was funny I used actual wires and stuff from our kitchen counter (hey..it was just laying around)

I also had a few other goodies for him..candy, candy and more candy
(I was inspired to use the bottles after seeing this post at Frost Me - *thanks Kim*
and finding these printables at Paper Glitter)

Gift time...
I saw this super cool idea at Under The Table and Dreaming

And they yelled 'Happy Father's Day'...all day long :)

Thanks..I got the idea from Under The Table and Dreaming...she posted the link to all the pictures. It did take some time deciding on the right pictures to use - I could honestly spend hours looking at them - but I think it turned out pretty good. The frame was a cheap one from Wal Mart but looks really nice with the picture.
I've already made one for each of the kids (and my aunt, who's birthday is coming up) - I'm hooked!! :)

That all looks very cool. I LOVE the look of that trifle - my goodness - YUM! The berries also look very delicious as well. I'm sure the Dad's did have a lovely day. Happy belated father's day to them.

Thanks for joining in 'at my house...' this week. Lou.

Those decorations are gold - especially the wires/cables in a jar!! It's all about knowing what the person would love isn't it. I'm sure he was extra chuffed that you knew him so well. My husband would have similar things in his jars also (minus the baseballs, not so big here in Australia)! P.S. I love paper glitter also - have used her stuff for a couple of my kids parties.

Very sweet! Sign me up for leftover peanut butter trifle! Loved how you used "his favorite things" in the table decor! The power cords cracked me up too! I'm also taking inspiration from your "finds from the countertop" approach!... Note to self: next year must remember to incorporate caulking guns left on kitchen counter from various handy-man projects throughout the year into a fantabulous Father's Day tablescape! :)

LOVE the daddy picture! I went to the link to see how to make it. I already downloaded my pics but not sure how to put them together.....any suggestions? Use photoshop maybe?

Thanks everyone..
Jennifer, I use Picasa for all my pictures (and I take TONS). There is a function to create a collage - which gives you lots of options for borders/colors/layouts. hope that helps :)

Okay...I have yet another question. :) I made a collage thing in picasa(i love it! so easy too!) but it was blurry when i printed it. I printed a small 4x6 at target to see how it would look. Am I missing a step? I clicked on the images, saved them, uploaded to picasa and then made the collage. No resizing or anything. Is that my problem?

Thanks!!

Jennifer..you may need to resize them. I know I picked a few pictures that looked blurry too so I just selected another one.
I hope that helps. I'm NO expert on the computer..it's a lot of trial and error :)
