some crafty goodness

I found some unused pictures (with prints I'm not into anymore)
so I painted them with chalkboard paint.
(my new-new boyfriend - 2nd only to vinyl)
I didn't get a before picture of those.
but they're your basic 8x10 frames, now painted white.
Once they are 'fancied' up...I'll post pictures.
I figured the chalkboard paint worked so well on the frame glass...any glass is fair game.  Cleaning out the fridge gave me my next victim.
I removed the label from this spaghetti sauce jar (bertolli, I think).
I grabbed the masking tape to mark off my area.
ok..so it's not 'perfect'...but I kinda dig the uneven-ness of it.

While the paint was drying, I tried my hand at a hair clip for the ladybug.
She's got the craziest, curliest hair & can't be bothered to control it :)  but I made a clip anyway.  I had some fabric laying around...cut 3 circles (in various sizes)...
got out a needle and thread (as close to sewing as I get).
I tried to gather the fabric together in the center.
*if there is a technical term for that..I don't know it*

Once I was happy with the way it looked..I hot glued the alligator clip on the back & added a resin candy corn in the center.  Ready for Halloween!!

What ya gonna put in your jar? I've been toying with the idea of doing that with glass container for canisters, but I can't find some that are CHEAP!
