It's feeling Fall-y here

We finally got a taste of Fall-like weather this weekend.  

Granted, it was still in the mid-80's 

but the humidity was low & it felt GREAT!  

We spent a bunch of time outside.  

Baseball games, playing in the back, riding bikes etc.

  

The lizard and ladybug also tried out their brand new chalkboard.  

I asked my dad a while back to make me 

a simple 2-sided stand-up board that I could use as a chalkboard.  

He made this!  

 

The wood is connected with a piano hinge 

and there are chains on each side to keep it from opening all the way.

  

I slapped on a few coats of chalkboard paint and tada...

It's much fancier than I expected & the kids love it.  

Plus..it kept them busy while the husband cut the grass :)

*I totally planned on putting this out at our housewarming party but I forgot!!!
