Pot O' Gold game (freebie)

I came up with this game last year & it was a big hit.
Here's the original post - I hope you enjoy it!
_____________________________________

My game is inspired by the Turkey Feathers game by The Idea Room.
The lizard & ladybug had such a blast
playing the simple dice & clothespin game over Thanksgiving.
I wanted to make a St. Patrick's Day version.

DSCN7023

I already had the painted clothespins so a rainbow seemed like a no-brainer.
I found a free pot of gold graphic and created this fun little game.

DSCN7026

The rules are pretty simple.
Each player gets a card (click HERE for card & instructions) and 6 clothespins.
Each player rolls a dice (or die, if you're proper).
Add a clothespin to the corresponding number.

The first one with a Rainbow wins.

the ink in my printer is a little wonky...but you get the idea.
I'd love to know if you like this game & if you use it, I'd love to hear how the kiddos like it!

It's almost Fall..y'all (freebie)

Football season and cooler weather always means Fall to me.  Well, we have football but I'm still waiting on cooler (or even comfortable) weather.

I made these simple little tags to help you celebrate the beginning of Fall this weekend.  Attach them to some homemade cookies, anything pumpkin or even some Fall colored M&M's and you've got a thoughtful (and simple) gift.
Enjoy!

School snack idea & freebie lunch box note

Here's a simple snack idea I put together yesterday.
It's perfect to put in a lunchbox (I've included some simple lunchbox notes)
or it's great for an after-school treat.

I already had all of the ingredients.
fruit roll up (Target brand), mini Nilla wafers and a Hershey kiss

Brown bunny print (freebie) FLASHBACK

With Spring Break in full swing here and a play date and a trip to the beach planned for the rest of the week, I wanted to share a fun little print I did last year.
Here's the original post...
 -----------------------------------------
I am digging polka dots.
So much so, I've finalized the theme for the lizard and ladybug's party in May.
Pirates and Polkadots!!

After searching in stores and online for polka dot paper that was 'just right'
I found a great digital set on Etsy.
Great Graphics is where I got exactly what I wanted!!

I could not wait to start playing around with the paper..
and I found a great freebie download from My Grafico
(designed my La.La.Studio).

Here is what I came up with -
2 versions of the Brown Bunny

brownbunnygreendots

brownbunnypinkdots

They are yours for the taking
(just click on the links under each picture)
..they were designed for 3" punches.

They would be cute at gift tags, centerpiece lollipops or
hung together as a banner.
Even tied around the neck of a big fat chocolate bunny!

I think they are adorable, if I do say so myself.
Polka dots make everything cuter :)

Valentine Countdown fun (& freebies)

This is a project I used last Valentine's Day..basically a hide and seek with a Valentine's twist.
For 14 days, I would hide a little treat for the kids to find.
They had a good time with this last year.
It's that time again :)
This is part of my post from last February...
I've included the heart numbers for you!
Enjoy!

________________________________

Here's what I used:

pipe cleaners (cut in half), clear treat bags and numbered heart tags

The idea is to hide their treat and have them find it.
My kids love hide and seek so this is great for them.
Plus, it may give me 5 minutes peace :)
We are starting off with lollipops (heart shaped to be exact)

If you wanted to do something like this yourself...

but don't have the pipe cleaners and/or clear bags.

Use some ribbon and plastic snack bags.

Or twisty ties and saran wrap.

I just think it's a fun treat for the kids

and it gives them something to look forward to each day!

**Oh and if you need heart tags..here you go!**

days 1-6, days 7-12, days 13-14 & blanks

Happy February 1st!

Super easy last minute gift (freebies)

Are you looking for a really Really REALLY easy gift?
Of course you are!

Do you have access to sugar and soap?
And a clear container (glass or plastic)?

Then you too can make
semi-homemade Soap Scrub!

DSCN6277

Here's what I used:
1. extra fine sugar
2. peppermint soap (the moisturizing kind) from Bath & Body Works
3. 4oz glass jars
*I chose these jars because the opening was the perfect size & they weren't too big.
I would also suggest a clear container so your 'giftee' can see all your mixing :)

DSCN6272

I filled my jar ~2/3rds full with sugar.
Then I started pouring in the soap (no exact amount).
DSCN6275

Use a knife to mix it together..trust me, it makes it easier.
I ended up with the consistency of thick molasses.
You can adjust the soap to sugar ratio to your liking.
Put on the lid & your gift is done.

DSCN6277

Add a cute tag.
I found mine at The Celebration Shoppe
(it's free from Kim's Facebook page..so go LIKE if you haven't already!)

DSCN6284

I used a 2 1/2" punch and added my own little tag to the top.
Here's the link to my tags if you'd like to use them.

I hope you all have a great Monday!
